Padel Scientific Journal (e-ISSN: 2952-2218) is a leading international, peer-reviewed scientific publication dedicated to the advanced study of padel and racket sports. Published by the University of Extremadura, it is a Diamond Open Access journal (no fees for authors or readers) that operates under a rigorous double-blind peer review system.

  • e-ISSN: 2952-2218 (Current online edition – official format).

  • Historical p-ISSN: 2990-2053 (Print edition ceased).

  • Note on publication format: Padel Scientific Journal was published in print format (p-ISSN: 2990-2053) from its inception in 2023 until 2026, comprising a total of 6 issues (Vol. 1 to Vol. 3). Effective as of Volume 4, Issue 1 (2026), the print edition was formally discontinued (Ceased). Since then, the journal is published exclusively as an online digital publication (e-ISSN: 2952-2218) under a Diamond Open Access model.

Mission and Global Scope

Our mission is to lead the dissemination of scientific knowledge in racket sports, bridging high-impact research from established markets in Europe and Latin America with emerging academic production in strategic expansion regions such as Asia and the Middle East. PadelSciJ aims to be the scientific engine supporting global professionalization and knowledge transfer across these disciplines.

The journal welcomes original research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses addressing padel, tennis, badminton, squash, and other racket sports through a multidisciplinary lens within Sports Sciences:
